Bookkeeper

DV Home Design Center, a leader in luxury kitchen and bath renovations located in East Northport, Long Island, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Time Bookkeeper to join our growing team.

As a high-end design-build company, we manage multiple projects simultaneously, work with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, and handle large residential contracts. We are looking for a professional who can take full ownership of the company’s accounting processes and ensure financial clarity, accuracy, and compliance.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in construction or remodeling accounting and understands job costing, project-based accounting, and cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations (A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations).
• Oversee job costing and track project profitability.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Monitor and manage vendor payments and subcontractor invoices.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax and labor regulations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for the management team.
• Track project contracts, billing, payment schedules and deposits.
• Coordinate with the external CPA for tax filings and year-end reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and organized documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4–5 years of professional bookkeeper experience.
• Experience in construction, remodeling, or project-based businesses preferred.
• Strong knowledge of job costing and project accounting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) required.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate with the management team.

Compensation:

Competitive salary based on experience and expertise. Compensation structure will be tailored individually based on qualifications.

Schedule:

Full-time position, 5 days a week.
On-site work required at our East Northport showroom.
