Join our dynamic team as a Facilities Support/Driver and become a vital part of maintaining smooth operations for our facility. This energetic role combines hands-on driving with essential support tasks to ensure the safe, efficient movement of goods, equipment, and personnel in addition to the effective maintenance of our showroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive company vehicle to and from Brooklyn Monday to Friday (mornings and evenings)
- Make deliveries throughout the boroughs, but mainly on Long Island
- Load and unload using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with moving heavy equipment and supplies within our facilities or between locations as needed.
- Manage the warehouse operations by managing deliveries, pickups, and inventory transfers with precision and care.
- Maintain the cleanliness and overall ambiance of the showroom
- Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with driving routes and DOT compliance
- Hands-on experience with forklift operation and pallet jacks
- Strong experience in maintenance and operations
- Strong communication skills for coordinating and providing excellent customer service during deliveries or pickups.
- Prior warehouse experience or logistics background is a plus for understanding freight handling and load management.
Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience. Compensation structure will be tailored individually based on qualifications and contributions.
Schedule:
Full-time position, 5 days a week.
